The Common Room

2 Saville Row, Bath BA1 2QP. Tel: +44 (0) 1225 425550
This is one of the few places in Bath where it's possible to enjoy a drink after 11pm without having to resort to the usual Bath cellar nightclubs. The bar is very attractively presented, combining natural wood with leather and some very impressive light boxes.
The Common Room is split over two floors, offering comfortable seating area with sofas upstairs, while the bar's situated on the ground floor. There's also a small dancefloor, and a lovely open fire for those cold winter nights.
The well stocked bar here serves up an excellent range of world beers, wines and spirits along with a decent selection of cocktails. There are DJs on Thursday through to Saturday, spinning some of the finest funk and soul in town - a fantastic atmosphere is guaranteed.
The only criticism about this place (if you could call it one) is that, unsurprisingly, the bar does tend to fill up rapidly over the weekend, and gaining entry after 11pm can be difficult. So, as they say, get there early to avoid disappointment!
The Common Room is a great place to go if you want to enjoy your evening surrounded by good music, pleasant people and friendly staff.
Door charges apply from 10pm: £2 Thursday, £3 Friday, £4 Saturday. There's also a membership scheme in operation, which costs just £10 until the end of the year. Members gain free and prioritised entry.
Open Mon - Sat 6pm - 2am
